I need to replace the springs in these mags. Was searching through brownells and came across wolff, but they say they're not for wilsons.

Wolff

brownells also has ISMI, but they say not to use with plastic followers
ISMI

finally, brownells lists a chip mccormick 8 round mag spring, but there's hardly any details on it.
McCormick

i'd wanted to go through brownells instead of ordering straight from WC because i get a discount from them, but i'm unsure what to get. anyone able to point me in the right direction?

thanks

Email Wilson Combat and see what they say. I was having problems with my 1911 and thought it may bs msg issues. Emailed them and they sent me new springs and followers for all the magazines I had.

Try emailing them 1st.

I use the SSCS2  ISMI springs in my 47Ds to good effect.

From Brownells: SSCS2 is for use with plastic and metal followers that require a narrow magazine spring. 7 or 8 round capacity depending on follower.

thanks for the info. I'll contact wilson, if that doesn't work, then i'll order some wolff springs directly from them. the prices are about the same.

A simple email to Wilson and they sent me a replacement spring for a problem 47D I had.

I also replaced the innards on a pair of worn 47D's with Tripp's rebuild kit (or whatever you call it).  I'm very impressed with the Tripp mag rebuild kit and recommend it.

wilson takes it very seriously that their mags always work.

i cant even remember how many springs and followers they sent out for me, and other guys in my agency over the years.

we never did pay for any of them-

they are truely class act folks.

I would just add the Wolff springs and be done with it. Wilson springs for me go tits up fast.
