| Was considering a 50 GI kit for a glock 21. Does anyone have any input on these? |

Apparently, no one has a comment so we'll see what Gun Tests says." Grade A;we thought this conversion unit rates an A, but would benefit from a b etter base, like the S/W M/P, because of Glock's limitations. We found the conversion unit to be very well made, well packaged, easy to use, and believe it would be mighty effective for all self-defense uses."
Well, there you go! I saw one on the EE 6-8 months ago but until Starline makes brass I'm not going for it. Ymmv Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Just curious, not trying to start anything. What advantage would .50 GI give over shooting .45 ACP +P or +P+ loads? What are the limitations of the Glock design vs the S&W M&P?
I am not a fan of Smith autos and can shoot better with my Glocks, the Smiths don't fit my hand, my eyes, or my training. |

Impressive expansion on some, but not much of a comparrison when they use different ammo. |

There was a review in SWAT maybe 6 or so months ago. Multiple cycling problems, as I recall, as well as some damage to the slide after something like a hundred rounds. One of the very few articles I have ever seen where the writer said- "I wouldn't buy this". This is what I first thought of. The damage to the slide was shocking, and I don't think it would hold up much past 1,000 rounds (just my wild ass guess though). If you really want a Glock with more punch, I would agree with those here that the 10mm is a pretty good bet. Ammo has evolved a lot in the past decade or so, and even my lowly 9mm has pretty good ballistics nowadays. |
