what is the best self defense round for a fn 5.7x28 handgun |
|
Eliteammo
Elite ammo sells some great stuff. the protector looks pretty darn good. 40gr vmax over 2000fps out of a five seven. there are several others you may look at as well. It travels over 13" in ballistic gel with a nice cavity. |

Quoted: what is the best self defense round for a fn 5.7x28 handgun None of the 5.7x28 offerings are acceptable for self defense when compared to more common handgun calibers. The lightweight bullets fragment and grossly underpenetrate, and the heavier bullets don't expand and behave like an undersized FMJ. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19913 |

However, it expands to 9mm FMJ proportions, and for that reason, is full of fail, imho. |

It really needs the 16" barrel to do that. |
