I shot idpa today with a 08 model 75b for the first time.
on 3 stages 3 different mags didnt lock back when empty. two were mecgar mags and one was a factory cz hicap mag. Any ideas? i was shooting silver bear ammo. |

Does the slide lock back on your mags when you retract it manually? If so, either your recoil spring is too strong (if, and only if you changed it for a heavier one), or, more than likely the Silver Bear ammo is a tad weak and the slide isn't travelling back far enough to lock on empty.
If the slide won't lock back when retracted manually on all your mags, you probably have a bur on the inside of the slide stop that keeps it from engaging properly, or it is undersized and the followers jump over it instead of pushing it up on empty. |

Either ammo or your thumb position. One of these is my bet. Silver Bear isn't exactly quality ammo. Have you tried anything else? And while it may seem like a no brainer, are you firing with your thumb on the slide stop by any chance? I actually do fire with my support hand thumb resting on the slide stop pivot point. I find it to be a good, natural index point to keep my grip consistent, and it never seems to affect the operation of the slide lock back after the last round fired. But if you kept your thumb farther back above the paddle, you might stop it. |

Ill try some white box. ive shot the silver bear through another 75b i have and havent had any problems with it not locking. Ill pay closer attention to my thumb, but i dont think i am... |

I vote thumb. You were on the other squad that was shooting, so I didn't see your malf. Here's a pic of IPSC World Production champ Adam Tyc gripping his SP-01..I'm running an SP-01 ,too, but one put on a diet to make IDPA weight requirements.
