Has anyone swapped in a threaded bbl in their 92FS? If so, what brand did you use? Were they std threads?
Thanks in advance! |

Yeah, I just bought a can & want a second host for it with 1/2 x 28 threads. I don't wish to thread the OEM bbl & want a drop-in/aftermarket bbl to swap in & out as I please for my 92. Bar-Sto makes one but holy shit, it's like $300 for one!
There's one on Gun Broker for $185 or so, but I don't know if it includes the locking block or even what brand it is. |

Honestly Bob, I don't think you can do better then a factory barrel threaded by someone that knows suppressor threading. Tornado is one of the best and has threaded barrels for sale. I kept my OEM barrel and bought a spare to thread.
As good as it gets. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=319962553 If you want to shop it around, factory barrels are often avialable for sale and Adco is another place that does good work. |

I have a tornado technologies threaded barrel on my 92FS to run my Gemtech Multimount.
It's a high quality threading job and it fits and works perfectly. I thought I had a picture of it in my photobucket account but it looks like the only photo I have of it right now is it sitting on my cat of all things... |

I have an EFK firedragon for my PT92AF. Will fit in both the Beretta and Taurus. I ordered a 5.625" barrel, as it has to be at least 5.5" to hunt in WI.
For a while, Gemtech had a large amount of factory threaded Beretta barrels... not sure if they still do. Price was reasonable from what I recall. |
