Returned from the range yesterday after trying out my first Beretta handgun. I must say I am overly impressed. Out of the box with non-adjustable sights my 92 hits exactly where I point it. What a value...my sig and hk were expensive and I like the features of both however they just don't fall in to the same value category. This is so much gun for the money I just purchased another form CDNN this evening..... at $419 I couldn't afford not to!

GREAT choice!  The Beretta is one of the nicest handguns made and one of the best-kept secrets nowadays I think.  Very underappreciated for what you get.  Now go get a boatload of mags !  So many to choose from -- factory 15 and 17 rounders, flush-fit mec-gar 18 and 20 rounds..... etc etc

+1

A 92FS Vertec is my first handgun and i dont think i could be happier with it. MecGar 18 rounders are perfect and i just threw on a Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser which i love on my Beretta.

They're fun.  Get some spare M-92 mags from CDNN while you're at it.

That's a good start .  I have a thing for Beretta mags -- I've got 28 hi-caps for it.  Most 15 rounders, a few 17, 18 and 20 rounders thrown in for good measure.

Have the same and very happy with it.  Made even better with a factory trigger job--$80 + postage one way.  Details at berettausa.com.  Data sheet provided with returned pistol.  Didn't trust any local smith with the job.  I'm sure there are good ones, but didn't know one personally  Also factory adjustable sight.

They're great guns.  Shot my 96FS Stainless and 96 Centurion today.  They're relatively cheap, mags are plentiful and cheap.  Only downside is the design is getting dated and being phased out with the new 90-two series

ETA: if you're a die hard 92FS fan, make sure you watch the GI Factory show on it from the Military Channel
