Maybe this is a dumb question, but here goes. Can I swap my slide and barrel of my model 96 (.40) for a model 92 (9mm)? Would this work with my frame? I really want a 9mm but can't buy another gun right now. Thanks.

Beretta at one time made & sold such a combo kit, so it can be done. However, I don't know if the 96 grip is wider than the 92 due to the bigger caliber or not?

Forgive me for asking, but why the need for both calibers in the same model gun??????

I don't like this gun in .40. I know it's stupid, but I really like in 9mm but not .40.

Yes, all you have to do is swap out the entire upper half (slide, barrel, and components) and use B92 magazines.  It will work fine.

Yes, I'll second SgtKiwi.

Swap the Upper and the mags for 9mm.

Then get the .22LR and swap the upper and mags again.

I have had no problems.

40 / 9mm / .22LR
