While browsing thru LGS today, one of guys there said he had a couple of trade-ins that might interest me - one was an ATI 1911 Military.  Not something I was looking for (or needed...lol) but I've heard a good amount of positives about them.  For $399, figured I couldn't go wrong.  Other than some normal signs of firing on barrel, remainder is like new with no scuffs or scratches.  The only thing not original are the grips which are Para-Ord checkered wood.  Anyhow, be it a good or a so-so deal, it followed me home.  Now, I can give leave the Kimber to slumber in the safe while I put the wear on this one while out on the range.

I have the ATI thunderbolt loaded up model and it has been flawless and it needed no 500 round break-in like some Kimbers I had.

I had a Thunderbolt also that the only reason I parted with it was I also had an MC Operator and felt they were way to similar to justify keeping both of them. That said, the ATI was a great gun and got no complaints from me. Great value for the money.

My EDC is an ATI GI Series Commander. Other than using CMC Shooting Stars, it is completely stock. I shot 250 break in rounds of various makes and types. I had 1 failure to fire (Remmy UMC, everybody makes a dog now and then) and zero feed, extraction or ejection issues. I know 250 is not a huge amount, but hey, ammo is expensive now.  Great value in a 1911.
If I do anything to it, it will be Novack style sights.
