I'm really up in the air when it comes to what sights I want to pick up for my Glock 19. Right now I'm rockin' the Glock polymers, which obviously blow. I was looking at several sets of sights such as the Novak's with Trijicon Inserts, which I have on my MP9. They are nice sights. Also, I was looking at the XS Big Dots, which are a forerunner, thus far, and the 10-8 Sights. Now, I've seen mention of the Ameriglo Operators mentioned quite a bit.
Do they have tritium inserts? Thoughts? Pics mounted? Erik |

yes, and they are a good sight. no white outlines to the rear, so a little more emphasis on the front sight at night and the vials of green fade away during the day and the sights are closer to a target picture. Also a wider groove to gather more light around the front sight and speed things up.
These are really cool, a copy of the Warren Tacticals more or less. ameriglo I use warrens, and if you scroll down they are very close to the operator pros, only I use a black rear tritium front. I like REALLY simple night sights, as in front sight only. |

the slope just leads you to the front sight faster and you have a wider field of vision down range around the shot. If you are shooting moving targets or multiples and sweeping left to right or right to left you have a better view. Overall, everything is just shaped to get you on the front sight faster.
I shoot these on two of my glocks, and the pro operators are a copy or Warren liscensed them. Like I said before, I try to get black rear / tritium front, but that is me. warrens thing is, you get the tritium / front / rear for about 10 or 15 more. I got them when they were $65. |

I think the Ameriglo sights are the best bang for the buck. I would also say that rear tritium is nothing but a waste of money. IMO, here is the ultimate setup. Call Ameriglo up and tell them you want the GL-112 front sight and the GL-405L or the GC-65R-180(?) rear sight. That front sight is the standard height, .140 wide “Operator” sight. The nice thing about the Operator front is it’s white outline which means even in bright daylight, the front sight really stands out.
Both rear sights I listed do not have tritium inserts (no need for them) and they are standard height (.256) and have a .180 notch. With the .140 wide front and the .180 rear notch, that leaves .20 of daylight showing on either side of the front sight which makes for very fast target acquisition. The GL-405L is their “Pro Operator” rear sight which has that sloped “Warren” type profile and is serrated. The GC-65R-180 should be their non-serrated ‘Combat” rear sight (Verify this if you call to order because I’ve not ordered that one separately before?). From a target shooting perspective, I prefer the “Pro Operator” type rear on is what I use on my G-17’s. The only down side to the Pro rear is it extends all the way back to the end of the side to somewhat of a sharp point. If you carry your G19 IWB, you may find that the sight may jam into your side (depends on the holster you use and the size of your “love handles”?) so on my G19 (which I do CCW IWB) I use the Combat rear just in case. The GL-112\GL-405L combo will cost you $59 ($39 for the front\$20 for the rear) + shipped. The Combat rear it may even be a tad bit cheaper. Watch them on the prices because depending on who you talk to, they may want to charge you more? |

Order the Ameriglo Pro Operator sights. The wide rear notch is AWESOME.
BEST SIGHTS OUT THERE IMHO. *for the coupon code, enter "GSSF", or "Grady"...I forget which one gives the better $$, and thank me later They use Trijicon tritium both front and rear. Obviously the front sight will have the matte white circle around it, and the rears will not. |

Planning on changing out the rear smooth slope Ameriglo with the Operator rear on my 19. Extremely quick acquisition. |

I needed a pair for the new G21 and they had an all black rear on sale to begin with, plus this. I got a "warren like' setup for $55 shipped. |

+1 on the Ameriglo Pro Operators.
I have a set of green front/yellow rear on my G29. That wide notch is very nice. Allows you to see your target on both side of the front sight. Plus the white ring on the front site just draws your eyes right to it in the daylight. |
