Rear sight base extends to end of frame so it's a K frame, which makes it a Model 19 in Nickel with 2.5 inch barrel.

Agree nickel 2&1/2” 19. In this era pretty simple open cylinder and read model number in yoke cut.
No barrel pin so likely from the late 80’s/ 90’s probably Serial number looks to be about 1983 |
