I couldn't agree more and I couldn't have said it better. I wouldn't call that a horrible target at all, not by a long shot. What brand/type of ammo ?

Just standing squared off to it. I was trying to go slow but I always catch myself rapid firing. It's hard to go slow.
I should've took more time but oh well.

Try shooting at a smaller target. It will make you more accurate, trust me.
