I have a good leather gun belt but want to get a web style too for when I don't want to wear the leather. I have looked at several (SOE, Ares, Wilderness, etc.). My question is really about the different buckles. Most of my holsters are own and slip on the belt, with these holsters would a Cobra belt work or what type of buckle/fastening system do you recommend? It needs to be a 1.5 inch to go with my pants and holsters. Thanks...Robert

Autocorrect or typos owned you there, but all me to recommend the Volund Gearworks Ares G-Hook belt. Love it!

With a Cobra buckle you have to remove the buckle to thread the holster on or put it on many standard belt loops. The g-hook is lower profile and beyond being bulkyl and costing more, the cobra buckle offers no advantages.

Yeah, I'm guessing you meant to say "most of the holsters I own"

I've been using a 5-11 tactical nylon belt with the velcro and rappelling buckle, and it slides right through my belt slide style holsters no problem.

Yeah auto correct sucks I meant holsters and fasteners I don't need any fattening

The Ares Aegis is a great gun belt with an open tail on it like a regular belt, holsters slide right on.
No fuss, no buckle removal.  Looks fairly "normal" as well.

I'm an extremely happy owner.
