Hi all,,

Sorry to go this route again, but I'm finally in the market for  higher end 1911 and, after reading/researching as much as I could, I'm down to the following:
Wilson CQB, Nighthhawk GRP, Nighthawk 10-8, Baer SRP, and Brown Kobra.  I've handled them all, but now I'm turning to the board....Which one and why?  Thanks for your indulgence!

You have done better than 90% of those responding (including myself), since you've laid hands on them all.

For the sake of argument, I'd say they all are all comparable in quality.

If you can buy into this, then it comes down to:

Service: Wilson is on the top, Baer is on the bottom (of these super manufacturers) and everything is somewhere in between (maybe with one better than Wilson or worse than Baer)

Features: completely up to your needs

Style: completely up to your tastes

Price: negligable/depending on what style/features are important.

So other than being a completely thrilled WC customer I have little to offer to help, and most others will have the same problem since this is such a subjective, personal decision.

To add to Pulp's statement; I have NO experience with Wilson's customer service, BUT I have had customer service from Nighthawk that has been nothing short of stellar.

I've owned examples from each and settled on Wilson Combat.  They offer everything I want in a 1911, stand behind the product and work 100%.  Most of the others do as well, but there is just something about the Wilson.
