Well, I got my first Glock (G26) a couple of weeks ago, and my second one (G17) yesterday.
I read back 10 pages looking for cleaning info, and I didn't find much, so I have a simple question:

I have an air compressor in the shop, and I use it a lot for gun cleaning.....I hose the sucker out with GunScrubber and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then blow everything out really well with 120 psi. Then I wipe it off really clean with a shop rag and judiciously apply a tiny drop of CLP in the spots where it needs to be.
Would this method work OK for the frame (lower) portion on the Glocks?? I have no problem cleaning the slide portion with Hoppes and a toothbrush, but the little nooks and crannies on the lower worry me a little.

A little overkill but will work fine. The lower does not really get that dirty.

Well, since I got no replies to my question I went ahead and cleaned both my Glocks according to the aforementioned method, and the results were great.
I hosed out the lower frame assembly with Gunscrubber, waited about 30 seconds, and blew it clean with 120 psi from my air compressor. Then I hosed it out again with WD 40 and blew it clean with the air compressor nozzle. Then I put a few tiny drops of Break Free CLP on the contact points shown in the Glock manual, and wiped the gun clean after re-assembly.
It looks good-to-go to me.

pd, thank you for the reply.
The entire process takes me about 2-3 minutes, so I don't mind the "overkill". The lowers on my guns have shown just a minor black coating after a couple hundred rounds (WW bulk pack ammo) and it comes off really easy.

pd is right.  I detail strip my Glocks once a year and they are never that dirty in the little nooks and crannys.  The air compressor should be fine also.

30 seconds with a rag and nylon brush is all I do for a lower. I don't want cleaner or solvent in every little crack or crevice unnecessarily. Than the crud really starts building up where you don't want it. I also detail strip and clean every 1000 rounds +/-. That may be a good time to blast it out with gun scrubber.

I just learned how to strip the receiver recently.  I was surprised to see how clean it actually was...and this is with 1000s of rounds fired through it.
