| I had a MK 23 a couple years ago after wanting one for a long time but sold it, due to it being so big and .45 ammo at the time was more than I cared to spend. I was never a big 1911 fan but after getting my hands on a Colt 1911 Competition, I was sold. I always wanted a Colt 1911 and the timing was right, so it came home with me. Soon after I got a S&W JM 625, although I am not really sure why other than the price being good. Still, they are neat guns and was fortunate to get some ammo on the cheap as well. |

I couple years ago I bought an HK Tactical 45 but it wasn't my cup of tea so I replaced it with an M&P 2.0 .45 with the optics cut and threaded barrel. Ended up selling the Smith also and wish I would've kept it as it was a nice shooting gun. Been getting the itch to get another .45 but it'll probably be a 1911. |

Glock 41 is the best Glock .45. Lighter and slimmer than the 21. It weighs less than the 30 does. I had mine milled by Jagerwerks for an RMR. Even though the red dot makes the barrel length difference between the 21 and 41 irrelevant, the 41 just handles better. Recoil is snappier, but it’s faster back on target. |

Opposite here. Trying to move away from .45 to best mm I’ve even been waffling about selling my Alchemy-customized Les Baer (.45 monolith) to help fund a new Les Baer or Nighthawk 10mm now that they’re solidly on the 10mm train. I don’t think I’ve shot it in YEARS… but then every time I pick it up to snap some good sale pics it just feels too awesome to let go.

Always have had 45’s. Actually the first pistol I bought myself when I turned 21 was a Ruger P97. There’s days I wish I still had it. I’ve now got a Glock 21 and 30s, a few Springfield 1911’s, Rock Island Armory, and my latest is a Tisas Raider. I did sell off a Springfield XD a couple months ago. Never really shot it. Haven't shot it much though as I need to switch my press over and get busy loading up a substantial amount of 45.

 Yup. After switching to a G19.5 and clones after the "Mostly Peaceful (but fiery)" summer of '20, I've opted to move back to my 1911s. Kimber Compact and SA Mil-Spec  And my '25 Christmas present to myself, a Tisas Tank Commander to scratch the Colt Combat Commander itch I've had since '71.

I have a Tisas "Service" 1911. (Series 70, flat MSH.) The pistol is configured as it was for the Army between 1911 and 1924. It has no frills, no bells, no whistles. This pistol comes with two 8-round magazines and cleaning tools that came with the purchase. It is a simple pistol that works. |
