I have an HK P7M8 that I've decided not to sell. I would hoever like to get it refinished. Have any of you sent a gun to Arizona Response Systems to have refinished? If you have what was your experience and how long did it take to get your gun back.

Never dealt with him, but has an exc reputation on the FALfiles.

Mark built a beautiful FAL carbine for me from an Imbel kit and gear logo receiver a few years ago and finished it as well. I would use him again with no hesitation so long as I understood that he is a gunsmith...not a secretary...and his communication will not be at a level of "chit-chat". You will most likely be very happy with his work...H&K uses...or at least used to use...him as their factory refinish dealer...but do not expect lots of verbose email talk from him...he is busy doing your gun(s).

I had ARS chop down a Hk91 bbl for me about 4 years ago...not a total refinish, but the area near the work was touched up and looks fine. Work was great and the turnaround was only a couple weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to send something back for other work.

I had Mark at ARS built an FAL for me off a cherry STG58 kit and an Imbel reciever. The workmanship was top notch. Fit and finish are perfect.
