Are those asian military 15 round mags any good.

YES for the right price, but they donn't always lock the slide. Otherwise they function fine.

I picked up 10 of them at a fun show awhile back for $10 each.  Good deal for 15 rounders.  Great mags and feed reliably.

You can usually find them in the $15-$20 range.

They look exactly like the Pro-Mag mags.

Are they the same?

I have a couple I bought strictly for range work.  So far they have been 99% reliable but I don't think I would use them as my defensive mags.  The metal used to make the bodies is not nearly as thick or hard as Beretta factory mags.  I've found that sometimes they don't always lock the slide open but I think that's because my right thumb was riding the slide release.

I'm going to wait until September and hopefully we won't have that stinking AWB to worry about anymore and can buy new factory hi-caps again.  If not I guess I will have to dish out $40 to $50 for more factory hi-caps.

I have four of the Asian mil mags that I too bought for 10 bucks a piece. They are great mags for the range but I agree with 00_buckshot I would not use them as defensive mags unless that was all I had left that were full.

I bought two from CDNN and they run fine here. But like everyone here said use them for defense as a last resort.
