So I'm curious about this. I know that CCW is not allowed at a polling place (or in Texas w/in 100' I think), but what happens if your business is located next door (20') of a polling place?
I don't have a CCW license, but carry concealed under the castle doctrine. ie..I carry in my vehicle, between my vehicle and my business, in my business and between my vehicle and my home. So what happens if your place of business is next door to a polling place? Being that this is my place of business, I have the right to carry a weapon (concealed or open carry) but does that right get squashed when a business is located next to a poll on election day? |

If the law does not expressly Allow or expressly Forbid then you landed right smack in the Gray Area… Neither one clearly Trumps the other.
Your question will only be resolved by courts, after you have been prosecuted for a violation. You are talking about a situation that takes place, One Day a Year. You decide how you want to handle it. |
| I would think your property rights would trump the presence of the polling place. But I don't know. If you're in Texas, they're a little more respectful of property rights than in some place like Massachusetts, where any property you own is just property the state hasn't claimed yet. |
