I am no where near as impressed with the Wilson 10mm 1911 mags as I am the 45acp mags they make. They seem to be a little better then the colt mags though. Past that the delta elite is a blast to shoot. Mine is like 2 years old or so and has had a few hundred rounds though it. It seems to like its friends as well. http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/6598/the10s.jpg Funny how 10s seem to make friends...
Although there is obviously something missing from my pic...I think a S&W 10mm auto will be the next search... So, it's hard to tell, what's your opinion of the Wilson mags? Worth buying? |

Only issue I have with the colt mags are the base plates which I didn't like. Function wise they were fine. I prefer the Wilson because I like the plastic base plates that they use but the quality is not as good as the 45acp ones. They only come in a single stile but they work fine. Haven't tried any others but I will look into it if I decide I need a few more mags. Gun is really a range gun so the 5 or 6 mags I have is enough.
Now if I could only find some cheap mags for that 1006...... |

Very nice - just like the one in my safe! Regarding the magazines - believe it or not I use some surplus .45 mags for the Combat Elite I had lying around and they have been 100% reliable! They are a mixture of brands - mainly Colt and MecGar. A 10mm 1911 will run with 45 mags. In the long run they are not going to be as reliable as ones for the 10mm in the long run. For a range toy it shouldn't matter. |
