Just wondering how much accuracy you lose from going with a 4" barrel instead of a 5 or 6" barrel. I want something small enough to conceal, but i dont want to lose accuracy.

BTW, i am leaning towards a glock 21 or 30...or an XD45 (dont know what barrel length)

None, you lose sight radius, With a red dot or scope you can't tell.

Any of those "smaller" will provide you with more than enough accuracy,  For CCW you don't NEED a gun that will shoot into 1 1/5" at 50 yards.  Those are all quality gun that can out shoot most of their buyers.  Need not worry, just buy what fits you.

True accuracy? As in, from a machine rest? An imperceptable amount, if any. This is given the same construction, etc of the barrel. (No point in comparing a high grade barrel of one length to a low grade barrel of another)

In practical use, barrel length will most affect accuracy as a function of sight radius. Shorter sight radius will results in reduced attainable/practical accuracy. An extended barrel beyond the slide - thus not affecting sight radius - would not yield any usable benefits in accuracy. (Benefits of such extentended barrel set-ups are the ability to thread for cans and to be ported for recoil compensation, not accuracy.)

that said, ALL of the HGs you listed will outshoot YOU....every one of em are more than capable of giving combat accuracy and then some

FWIW: the subcompact glocks (w/ the shorter bbls) are well known in some calibers to outshoot/be more accurate then the longer bbls in the same caliber; just one example of bbl length NOT being an indicator of the best accuracy potential

I always seemed to group better with a G26 than a G17, so I agree. Weird though.
