How about some recommendations on base pads for my 1911 mags. Finally got a 1911 with a mag well but now I have 8 mags that don't have base pads. Who is a good source and should they be glue on or screw on type?

Try Cylinder & Slide or Shooters Connection. I have had better luck with the glue on type myself. Just be prepared to spend some bucks on a high quality glue.
