I bought a lightly used 92FS some months ago, and I've noticed that if I leave the safety on for a little while, it is difficult to disengage. What's the deal with that? I've lubed it with CLP, but it still seems to stick. I've noticed no abnormal wear on the pistol, so I wonder if maybe there is some dirt or debris I might have missed gumming up the detent plunger on the safety lever? Anybody ever see anything like this?

It certainly shouldn't do that.  Sounds like there might be something gumming up the safety.

take it apart and give it a soaking.

OR if you dont want to take it all apart...buy some slip 2000 choke tube cleaner, and soak your slide for about an hour.  that will break everything up and get it clean.  Just make sure to lube it up after you do it.

I think a detailed strip down of the slide is in order, clean it out with some Gun Scrubber or automotive brake cleaner, and you won't believe how much crap gets under the extractor too!

just make sure not to lube the firing pin channel. Beretta says that's a no no as it can cause primer problems if you overlube. That and it just attracts gunk.
