Ok so i have a 92fs , and i went shooting today, while shooting the gun jamed and i felt something hit my face. not in just one spot but all over, also the gun was smoking, not alot but never seen this before, you think it was the ammo? or maybe to much lubrication in the gun? I think i seen a video like this on youtube before, i think it kind of looked like this

Did you examine the spent brass?  Sounds like a kaboom, tho I've never heard of one on Beretta's.

Not sure sending it in will do you any good since its not real clear exactly what happened.

Keep shooting.  And wear eye protection.

I did have a KB in my first Beretta 92FS back in 1992. On my second or third mag, using factory Winchester white box ammo, I had the side of the casing rupture and the gasses vented out the right side of the pistol. The trigger bar was pushed out to the right side of the frame and the trigger assembly was locked up tight. I popped the trigger bar back in place and fired the remaining three boxes of ammo with no problems. I kept it for a couple more years and then traded it for my Italian INOX. To the OP, are you able to see anything wrong with the pistol and are you able to post photos of it?

Almost assuredly.

Virtually impossible.

I would have 2-3 others check the gun out, provided they know what to look for. As long as the barrel isn't damaged & the slide cycles smoothly, there's probably nothing to worry about, IMO. I would err on the strong side of caution though & have people look at it.
