I turn 21 in 2 weeks and get to pick up my Springfield Loaded Operator from the gun store. I always
load up on magazine before I pick up a new gun, I was just wondering what magazines work best
for this gun from the people that have them, thanks

Tripp Cobramags, Wilson 47D's, and Chip McCormick Power Mags.

$33, $28, and $21 depending on where you shop.

Personally, I've got 2 Wilson's and 25 Chip McCormick Power Mags. I recommend both with the edge going to the CMC's. They have a better spring in them (my wilson's are starting to get soft after many fewer rounds and being the same age).

I've never had an issue with the Springfield mags supplied with the pistol, or the mags avaiable with the coupon included with the pistol. Several diffrent styles available for less than $15 each.  No flashy logo, however, and your range mates won't be impressed.

I like the Wilsons a little bit better than the McCormicks and haven't tried the Tripp.

I had an issue with 47Ds in my Springfield Loaded - they wouldn't lock back on an empty magazine.  I called WIlson and they suggested changing the slide release...sure enough, dropping an Ed Brown model in cured the problem, and now everything locks back reliably.  I will note that my CMC Powermags locked back on either with no problems.

Wilson 47D, CMC and Springfield factory have been great in my guns.

The Wilson are certainly the most flashy, the CMC have never given me issue.  The Springers don't look like much, but they run great in all my 1911s.
