Best source for Wilson mags? > 1911 Discussions

I got a LNIB Series 70 GCNM last weekend and need some mags. I've had an Eclipse II but it doesn't work with Wilsons so I never bothered to stock up.

Need a good source.

Also would like an opinion on Metalform brand mags.

I've always ordered them directly from Wilson's.

Are they cheaper elsewhere?

If you have the discount at Brownell's they are cheaper.

I normally wait and buy them off of the EE for less.

Midway USA usually runs them around $25 for the 47Ds. That is where I ordered all of mine.

Midway when they are on sale. Assuming they are in stock, which with Midway is more miss than hit.

They are out of stock a lot on popular items, but usually the backorders get filled fairly quickly.

I get my ETM's from Midway when they are on sale.

Metalforms are what Springfield issues with their 1911s, btw, and the "Springfield" mags are on sale at Midway quite often.

Well in that case my 7 rounds SA mags have been good to go. They have run 100% so far.

I ordered four 47D's from Cal's Sporting Armory, $116.64 shipped UPS. It took a couple of days, but that was the best price I could find.
