Anyone purchased one lately? Called a local shop they said $505. I've seen everything from $507-$550 online, i thought blue label all carried the same price per glock.

Was also informed the Gen3 and Gen4 are priced exactly the same.

Input?

there are very few actual LE dealers. most places i've seen with LE/Mil programs get them from a distributor and jack up the price.

go to the Glock dealer locator, type in your zip, and click the LE tab. i bet your local shop isn't a real LE dealer

Interesting - I wouldn't think that the price list shown is accurate. Glock's suggested officer price for regular Glocks (9/40/357) is right around $425 (IIRC) - Cost is $3** on those ...........so they are not making anything off of those guns. Whenever we sell Blue Label guns, we do $450 on fixed, $490 on night sights

Real LE Dealers (there's usually only a few in each state, and in my case NONE) sell the blue label guns for Glock's LE Discount price, which is $398.20 w/ fixed sights for standard Glocks.

I have the Glock order sheet, but it's a .pdf and therefore a PITA to post.

Other dealers will sell the blue label guns, but they're doing so for a profit. They're not true Glock LE Dealers.

At my local dealer
$398 for regular 9/40/357
$469 for g21/g20/etc
$480 for g34/35

At glockmeister they add some $

This. It's hard to get to the LE dealer in my state. Inflated price is still good.

Unless something has changed in the past month, this is what I know->

Glock restructured their LE program this past year because dealers were abusing it.
Certain dealers were stealing mags from the blue label guns and even selling them at full retail.

Each dealer has to obtain approval from the Glock LE department before being able to order blue label guns from their distributor
Each dealer that is approved is restricted to certain distributors in their region (ex - my main distributor for Blue label guns is Gunarama in WA, I can't order from Amchar in NY without approval)

This is the last price sheet that I have seen from Glock

Those qualifying for the Glock LE discount can go to any of the 'official' LE Dealers (which it seems are the distributors of blue label guns to shops in their area) and buy blue labels direct for what is essentially your cost.

Here's a .pdf download link from GlockTalk of the LE price sheet. The models aren't quite up to date, but the prices haven't changed:

These are the three Glock LE Dealers in the Washington state area listed on the Glock website:

Glock does give you the option of going through them and having a distributor fill the order - But from what I have seen, it is faster to have a dealer go through a distributor

I know that in Washington (not necessarily everywhere else) , someone going through Glock will only save themselves $20 versus going through an LE Program Dealer - Also, to get to Burlington from Seattle, it is 70 miles and to get to Spokane from Seattle it is 280 miles versus the dealer who is 4 miles down the road

so does anyone know of the cheapest place online that will ship to a department to avoid FFL transfers?
2/22/2012 10:59:30 AM EDT
[#14]
AS far as i know, and someone please correct me if i am wrong, unless it is an agency purchase, you are still subject to FET and Sales tax, it has to go through an FFL
2/23/2012 3:25:47 PM EDT
[#15]
not sure what FET is, but sales tax yes (unless maybe if your department foots the bill?) but you do not need an FFL.  Now, not all dealers will ship to your department, but about half of them, including the Glock factory in GA WILL ship to your PD.  Ordering direct from glock will give you the same price as the cheapest dealer and they only charge 10 bucks to ship to your department.  Downside is if you order directly from Glock, while its the best price, there is a 10 to 12 week wait.  If you order from an out of state dealer and they ship it to you, sales tax would not apply, unless they have a branch of business in your state. Glock has about 20 states that sales tax applies in.

FET= Federal Excise Tax

It applies to individual officer purchases, but is included in the $398.20 price. I think it's $50 or so? Departments don't pay it for duty guns though, so the department pays sub ~$350 for each duty Glock I believe.

OMB Express used to/does ship to individual officers at departments bypassing FFLs. You need a letter from your chief IIRC.

ETA: Here's the OMB letter format-

And the step by step process:

Agency Letterhead Method (for active Law Enforcement Agents)

  1. Submit order online, over the phone or via US Mail. For mail-in orders, please fill out an order form and mail it and the agency letterhead, listed below, to Firearm Department, Express Police Supply, 11333 Strang Line Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215.

  2. Compose a Letter #2. This letter must be on agency letterhead, and signed by both you and the Chief Law Enforcement Officer. NOTE: This letter requires each of you to sign in two places, and, at minimum, requires each of the clauses shown in our sample letter.

  3. Mail original letter to Firearm Department, Express Police Supply, 11333 Strang Line Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215. This letter can accompany your order form and payment.

  4. Upon receipt and verification of the order and the letterhead, we will ship the firearm to your attention at the agency's address.

Where did you call??? When i get Glocks for LE I buy from Vance's in Cloumbus.  I got my G30SF for $450 and my new Gen4 17 today for $425 out the door ($399 before tax).

Not Vances. That's an hour and half drive, any savings would be negated. It's on order. Did not buy from an approved Glock LE dealer.

Echoing others, for an LEO pricing for most glocks with standard sights should be $398.20.  $480.70 for the 34.  Anyone else selling blue label guns for more is ripping you off.

i've called around to many dealers and usually prices are about 60 -100 more than glocks price list

I juat bought a blue label Gen3 34... The Gen3 blue label comes with night sights so that does add about $75 or to the cost...

You cannot buy a Gen3 34 anywhere else other than a blue label gun with the night sights installed

When you called and asked for a price did you indicate you were leo/mil or a gssf member.  I could be wrong but I thought that about a year and a half ago that gssf and Leo prices differed just a little which might explain why some people are saying 480 vs 500.  Don't remember reading about it online but believe I saw it at my dealer when they started offering the ability to sign up for gssf in store.
