12/23 -- I order 2 Beretta 92 magazines, 17 rounders.  Prices are better than Beretta direct, and shipping is free.

Looong silence

1/8 -- Order is shipped!

So, in summary, I ordered 2 "high capacity" Beretta mags (made in Italy) from Botach, got a good deal, and though it took a while, got the goods.

I ordered some M&P mags from them a few months back... No problems

That "smartpost" bullshit they use is slow, free, but slow. Considering the holidays involved they did pretty good. From the date of order to ship how long was it? Because that is the part they actually control. I'm not a Botach lover or a hater. I have bought some very good deals from them and they have never failed in 12 or so orders, but I always expect them to. The last time I looked at their Ebay ratings they were pretty good with some big numbers.

I've bought a lot of stuff from their website and their eBay. Never had a problem.

Yeah, they get bashed pretty bad here on this site from some issues they had in the past, but I've never had any problems.  Before ordering, I do contact them to make sure what I want is in stock though.

There you go.  I have ordered and after waiting a few days... it shows product back ordered... then waited a month because the product was at a good price... and the product dropped from my back order with no explanation... then in a few days the product shows up on their site at a higher price and in stock.  Other times, I get what I ordered with no problems.  I can see where people have a problem with them.  Other sites like midway or palmetto or wherever are 100% no problems and they know what is in their inventory... what a concept.

They billed me for a Glock 19 mag that they never shipped. After trying to contact them by both email and telephone with no reply I finally got my credit card co. involved and finally got a refund. Then after I emailed them to cancel all
my pending orders (all backordered) they ship me 2 more mags that I had on order. I thought - ok, finally things are straightened out. I get one of the mags that I ordered (Glock 21 13rd) and they ship me a Glock 21 10rd instead of the Glock 20 15rd that I ordered. I emailed and finally get a reply that they wanted a picture for proof. Sent pic; now when I get a return ship label they want to know if I
want a refund or exchange and why?

Are you kidding me? I'll take the refund so I can get off this crazy train!!  I'm glad you guys are having luck with them but you've been warned.

Dozens of orders and never an issue.

I ordered from Botach for the first time a couple weeks ago; a Timney trigger and KNS pins.  The trigger was a better price than anywhere else I've seen.  Got the pins in the mail a few days later and a packing slip that says the trigger is backordered.  Very annoyed.  I would've gone somewhere else and paid a little more if I knew it was backordered.  Not a good first impression.  Doubt if I'll go back.

Exactly!  This happened to me more than once and now I won't fall for the "good" price and backorder scheme.  Just wait until they drop your backorder in a few weeks and then suddenly have the part in stock (at a higher price).

Problem is they don't have an active inventory system tied into their online orders.  Why they don't is beyond me.  So you need to contact them first to make sure it's in stock.   But they aren't the only ones.  Optics Planet, for as big of a dealer as they are, don't have one either.  They had a great price on a stock with free shipping so I ordered one.  Only to find out a few days later that they were back ordered.  When their ETA came and passed and they pushed the date out a few weeks longer, I canceled the order and got it elsewhere.  Their customer service rep said it's best to contact them first if you are in a rush to get something.
