Picked up a nice used K9 to serve as my CCW piece yesterday. LOVE this little gun, feels extremely well built, balances well and looks awesome. Supertuck on order. Also thinking of getting a set of the wood grips.

What sort of lube do you guys use? Grease or oil?

I personally love both of mine. Just be sure to have the old Dremmel ready when you get the wood grips. Accessing the magazine release is problematic as is the slide stop. You'll have to grind these areas out to be able to access them. See picture below:

I generally use grease, as it stays where you put it.

The wood grips increase the grip diameter a bit, makes for a much better fit for me.

If you bought a used gun, especially a mini-gun, buy a new FACTORY weight recoil spring.
These small guns are hard on springs and you likely have no idea of how many rounds have really been through it.
Don't buy any "extra-power" springs.  These small guns are carefully engineered to use a very specific spring weight and something else may make problems where none exist with the factory spring.

Personally, since my K9 is a CCW gun, I lube the slide and frame rails, barrel, and sear and striker interface with a little grease.  This stays put, won't run off, wick out, evaporate, or dry out, and when you need it your Kahr will be properly lubed and ready to go.

One "watch out".
Kahr magazines have a tendency to shed rounds from spare magazines.  It's not unusual to find loose rounds in the bottom of a pocket or some magazine pouches.
You may need to experiment to find a method of carrying spares that won't drop rounds.

+1 on finding a mag carrier that works for you.  I picked up a Desantis Pocket Mag Carrier to go w/ my CW9.

Thanks guys, I'll order up a spring. The guy I bought the gun from is also selling me a set of wood grips and a stainless steel guide rod this week as well. I'll go back through the gun and put a dab or two of grease on there, right now I lubed it with "liquid" lube.

Local kydex maker is making me a horizontal mag pouch as well, should have it at some point this week. Currently carrying it in a cheapie Uncle Mikes IWB holster, but I have a Crossbreed Supertuck on order....just a long lead time on that right now.

Pic of the gun with wood grips.

Looks damn good.  I may end up picking up a T9/K9 down the road.

The stainless Kahr in the picture above was never fired. First off there was no markings on the recoil guide rod. Second there were no markings on the breech face. I don't know how I got it for a "used" price, but I did. Something to do with California's gun laws. The blued gun, on the other hand, required a new spring. it was lightly used, but no abused. Frankly I'm happy with my Bi-racial couple of Kahrs
