| Are all new Buckmark's drilled and tapped for scope mount/rail? |
|
They utilize a removable top strap that is held in place by two hex head screws. Some models come with a rail in place of the top strap (same mechanical attachment) that you can use to mount a scope. You could probably replace the standard top strap with one of the rails if you were so inclined and could find one for sale, or you could just buy one with it in the first place. There are a lot of Buck Mark variations. |

Weigand and Tactical Solutions both make excellent rails. B-Square discontinued their good rail several years ago. It was a full length rail for the standard 5.5" barrel.
The short rail now offered by B-Square is not nearly as good as the two above. It is an extrusion that is hollow where it meets the barrel. It tends to work loose. |
