| Thinking of building a longslide 1911 on a Foster/Caspian frame with a Fusion slide. Anyone know how much fitting work I'm looking at? Would I likely be doing a lot of fine file work or would I be able to get by putting some abrasive on the rails? I built a Rosk Island frame with a SAM slide, looked OK but didn't know as much about the process at the time, filed the rails more than I should have. It functioned well and shot accurately but if disassembled it was an obvious amateur project. I want to avoid that result this time. |
