I am turning 21 this summer and want to get my carry license as soon as I can. I am thinking about taking the class with some friends before I turn 21. Is there any problem with me taking the class before I am 21? I know they are good for a year and I want to be able to apply for my permit as soon as I am 21. Thanks.

If the class will admit you, I don't see why not.  Although state laws vary, I got my CCW by showing my Virginia Hunter Safety Course card that I got when I was 12.

I took the class when I was 20. according to my instructor, the certificate never expires, and
can be turned in anytime or in my case, when you have the 90 bucks to apply.

btw, just saw your name, you at state?

I've given several classes to people 20 years old and not a problem. NC has no restrictions on the age to take the class for CHP.

If I can help in any way drop me a PM.

There isn't here. I used my hunter's safety class I took when I was 12 though.
