I have looked at what both offer but Im so undecided that I cant make up my mind. I will be using it for CCW of a HK USP full size.

Talk me into one versus the other. And please tell why.

My MTAC is comfortable as hell. I use it to carry my HKp30. Great holster.

I have both.  The MTAC is more comfortable.   I used the Glock 9/.40 slide version, so it's good to go for all of my 9mm or .40 glocks(17,19,23,27).   You can buy extra bodies for other guns for the MTAC for about $35.

I have a C-Tac and LOVE it, but I can tell you that the M-Tac looks more comfortable and will likely be my next holster.

I have both and the MTAC is way more comfortable and easier to put on than the CTAC.

I only have the MTAC, but it is the most comfortable holster I have, excluding leather OWB.

MTAC=Comfort. I sold the CTAC a long time ago.

I had an issue with the MTAC for my fullsize USP9.  It won't completely cover the trigger on the leather side.  I called their customer support (AWESOME- I got to talk to their makers, not to some dumbass who doesnt know whats going on) and they told me that the USPF is one of the few if not only models that this is an issue with.

I wanted to carry condition 1 and felt that this wasn't acceptably safe enough to do so.  So, they traded me for a CTAC and refunded me the $5 difference.

The CTAC can be just as comfortable.  I added some moleskin and trimmed the top area of the kydex to fit a bit better.  I love my CTAC, but if you wanted to carry a USP decocked in an MTAC youd be fine.  I just like the added security of having kydex on both sides of my trigger.

I have a MTAC and love it.  Best holster I have ever used.  I carry a G19 and G16 with it.

as much as i love the CTAC, i got to admit, the MTAC is more comfortable for the long haul

For you guys that have both, Which one can conceal the pistol best? I will be carrying often, but not constantly. So Im willing to trade off the comfort for some concealability if there is a noticable differance. Can you buy different kydex mag bodys for the CTAC or just the MTAC?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to cover all my bases.

I ran the CTAC for some time. Then I switched to Crossbreeds Super Tuck which is very similar to the MTAC (which was released later). I just broke my Crossbreed and ordered the MTAC.

After about a week of use, I can say without a doubt it is by far the most comfortable holster I have tried. Very well made.

Concerning the concealability of the MTAC. I find that its just a touch less able than a CTAC. Though this may be specific to us skinny guys. I found that the MTAC will ride naturally at about 4:30 compared to the normal 4 o'clock carry I am use to. I believe this is due to the leather backing and how it rides on/around my hip bone. This leads to a extra bit (though rather small) of my grip sticking out further than I would like.

Anyone else run into this?

Considering all the CTAC is, is a body and the struts, I would say you would just buy another holster all together. Though I suspect you could just order the body and save a couple bucks. Just hit up their CS and ask. They are always friendly and answer any questions in a timely fashion.

You can put more cant into the CTAC making it more concealable, IMO.

I guess Ill probably have to start with the CTAC. Down the road I plan on getting something a little smaller like a USP Compact or possibly a Glock or XD, Then Ill try the MTAC.

If there is anything you guys would like to add or comment on please do! Thanks

There are a few that have mentioned difficulty with the MTAC for skinny guys.  I am 6-3 and pretty thin about a 32-34 waist.  I like all the talk about the comfort but worry that the MTAC is going to look to big on me.  Skinny guys tell me about your experiences?

Currently I carry a PF9 which is pretty small but I am looking to carry something a little bigger from time to time which is my reason for wanting a better holster like the MTAC.

I rock a CTAC and I love it. I've worn it on 13+ hour road trip and it was fine. Keep in mine I was driving my 06 Charger RT with the performance seats that hug you.

Did you get the CTAC yet??

One thing I found w/ the CTAC, was that I "had" to add a little Mole Skin to the bottom inch or so for comfort.  It was like night and day once I add the mole skin.  I believe Comp tac actually sells it now due to a lot of customers doing what I did.  You can also find it at you local Rx or WalMart if you look around.

Not yet. I went ahead and got a compact USP9 rather than the fullsize I had. I knew that I would regret it if I kept the fullsize. I took a bit of a loss trading my used fullsize for a NIB compact, plus I had to pay property tax and register my car this month........so need less to say Im a little behind on funds this month.

I hope that mid next month I will be able to order one. I will probably go ahead and get the mole skin and be done with it. Thanks for the tip!

6'2" 160lbs here. Its not really that bad. I can carry a XDSC all day, and even people that know I am packing can't tell.

I've also used a crossbreed for years, and my next holster will be an Mtac, not that the crossbreed is bad, but I like the fact that I can add different bodies to the same back with the mtac.

BTW, you can send your broken crossbreed back to Mark, he will probably fix it for free.  Me and two buddies all sent holsters with broken j hooks back at the same time, he had them back to us in a week.

I use both.  The mtac is more comfortable, especially when sitting for extended periods, but the ctac conceals slightly better imho.

I did just that. I was taken care of in a quick and professional manner. Kudos to Mark and his team!

I walk the dogs 3 miles every day.  The MTAC is the most comfortable holster I have used.  But the back of the holster collapses in and make re-holstering difficult
