Would it be possible to put a picatinny light rail on the bottom?

I see a very round surace with less than 1/8" of metal to work with...

You could probably have a smith drill and tap one on like some 1911s have. However I can not see you machining one into the frame. I would love to see a 97B Tactical of some sort. I would buy one for sure.
