| Finally saw one in the wild. Very nice pistol, tight lockup, seems like a nice trigger, high profile dovetailed sights. Very nice wood stocks, deep blue finish. $769. plus tax at LGS, probably cheaper online. |

Quoted: Not a Dan Wesson. While CZ owns Dan Wesson, and Dan Wesson makes 1911's, CZ proper makes their own 1911 now under the CZ name. Unfortunately, their rarity on the market is causing a disproportionate price increase or the market is mirroring the demand.
If I had the spare cash and the opportunity to purchase one at a 'reasonable' price I wouldn't hesitate. Are they still producing them is a valid question. They're listed on the website under discontinued/limited edition. CZ is not going to put their mark on an inferior product. Have never read a bad word about the 1911's. |
