Saturday I picked up this lightly used SP-01 at a shop in town.   It was one of those "can't let this one get away" deals:  night sights, 3 16-rd mags, 3 18-round mags, and 1 20-something rounder for $499.

I put 250 rounds of my reloads through it (124gr Missouri LRN over 4.3 gr of Titegroup) and it shot a trifle high at 15 yards with a 6 o'clock hold, but well within my expectations.  Not one malfunction, to my great surprise.  To my greater surprise, all the magazines worked.

While the trigger was not bad out of the box (maybe 6.5 pounds with a fair amount of creep) it didn't take me long to realize I'm not going to be able to work with this trigger shape.  The hook-like point dug into my finger and after 250 rounds I was ready to say "uncle."    The other shooter with me (a Glock guy) had the same problem.   I'm going to see what I can replace it with while still keeping it legal for USPSA Production.

I wish I would find those kind of deals around here. Specially on CZs.

Awesome deal! The stock trigger is HORRIBLE on those guns. This trigger is must:

I don't know if it's USPSA legal though

Thanks!  Out of stock, though.

I think it's legal as long as it's a factory part, not aftermarket.   Or maybe that was an IDPA ruling.   At any rate, I don't care, because I can't use the gun at all with this trigger.    I'm certain my trigger finger would be hamburger by the end of a match.

A non-adjustable version of that trigger is also available, if you have trouble getting the 85 Combat trigger.

Hmmm...available from where?  Didn't see one on czcustom.com or CZ-USA's site.

I replaced my SP-01 trigger with a standard 75B trigger. I agree, the original trigger shape is very uncomfortable.

You got a great deal when factoring in all those mags.

That's the same one he has. He needs the trigger without the curve.

Then he is SOL  isn't he.

Just call the CZ custom shop.

Typically they will have some standard 75 non curved triggers left over from various projects, or, better yet, send the whole pistol to them and have them do their magic to it.

Nah, the watchword for this one is "low budget".   I don't want to put any more money into this thing than is absolutely necessary, since it's not going to be a primary gun in any sense.

I think the trigger chuck1 posted looks like the best bet.
