Anyone had any experience with Cal's Armory? I ordered off their website over a month ago. The item showed to be 'in stock'. I went through the on-line order process, got a pop-up that said "'thanks for your order" and haven't heard a thing since! Emails and phone calls to an answering machine have produced no responses. Oh yeah...my credit card was tagged for the order by the next day! Not getting a 'warm fuzzy' over this experience!!! |

I have a FFL. I tried to order some hi caps before the ban sunset. Cal said that my FFL was not enough. I needed to fax him a copy of my tax stamp (tax I.D. #). His reason? "Only legitimet FFL's have tax I.D. numbers. If you don't have one, then you don't plan on selling them, or if you do, you plan to do so iilegally." Sorry Cupcake! That # is between me and the tax guy! Even after the ban I won't go back. |

Well, Even more disappointment! Tried contacting H&K 'Customer service' (LOL) about Cal's...same results. No replies, no calls. nothing! So, I guess they are 'birds of a feather'..crap for customer service! My response?.... I sold my USP's!!!!! I now own 2 Sig 229's!! One in .40 s&w and one in .357 sig!!! Maybe I was over-reacting, the USP's are great pistols, but if I ever have an issue with warranty or repair work, I think I know what to expect from H&K! As for Cal's, they will never get any of my business and I hope my experience saves some guys some trouble. Keep 'er between the lines, Oilfieldtrash... |

ALWAYS call to order, their website is often not up to date. I'd suggest calling on Friday afternoon, about 2:30 mtn time, The guy who usually answeres the phone always seem to be more relaxed then. I have found the best approach is to be nice to whoever answers the phone and ask them how they are doing today. If I acknowledge the fact that they are human and act as if I were, the conversation seems to go better. Consider the fact that 50% of everyone who calls to place an order is either an idiot, know-it-all or some other form of indignant asshole. I know I would dread answering the phone on an order line. All in all I have been pleased with Cal's service. No, I don't work there. |
Hey Cupcake, I suggest you read your license/permit to collect sales tax more carefully. By law it must be "Displayed Prominently". Failure to provide this information to customers or vendors upon demand, is a violation of tax code. |
