I have a Colt XSE I bought about 15 years ago. I've only shot it a couple times. This is the only gun I have in 45acp so I don't reload for it.

What would it take to change it over to 9mm? I think I would shoot it a lot more if it was the same caliber as the other guns I normally take to the range.

Probably cheaper to buy a Turk 9mm 1911 than to pay a gunsmith to convert, unless you're going to hand fit the barrel yourself.

For converting a 45 to 9 you need a slide with all the appropriate guts a barrel ejector and magazines. Unless you luck into some cheap parts, a complete gun is a better choice.
