Gentleman,
Word on the Canik facebook page from a century rep is that the TP9 Compact is fixing to hit the streets. I know for a fact I will be getting one, If its a 15 plus 1 and roughly the size of a G19 im a buyer. Is anyone else interested in this pistol? If anyone has a line at Century can you provide some details? maybe a pic or 2? |

I'm sure they'll be as fast with this as they were at releasing the SFX model with red dot mounting, 20rd mags, and other competition-type mods. http://www.centuryarms.biz/proddetail.asp?prod=MA550 century has 20 round mags. I was referring to the model of gun, it ships with the +2 20rd mags. I know the mags have been out. They are just stockers with mec gar +2 bases |

I'm curious about the compact as well, bringing in a G19 sized TP9SF or V2 would be a hot seller.
But I thought there was a minimum barrel length for pistols imported to the US? Century imported some Beretta 71s not too long ago, that's the .22lr pistol that was originally made with a 3.5" barrel and had a fake suppressor added to make the overall barrel length 9". I was told that the pistol with a 3.5" barrel was banned from import under the 1968 Gun Control Act. If the rumors of a US factory are true, that explains the upcoming compact, but how are they gonna make it as cheap? |

There is no minimum barrel length requirement. There's a minimum point requirement and the length of the barrel counts toward those points. But seeing as the Glock 26/27/33 & 43, the Walther PPS, Springfield XDm, etc. all meet the requirement, I'm sure this will too. |

Here is a link with the Century part number for it. Appears it is a 4.2" barrel tp9sf elite compact |

Looks like it has ambi slide release and possibly ambi mag release. But it looks like European style mag release on the right side only. Looks a little long on the slide. Frame height looks good. Like it having 15 rounds |
