I think I've already decided. After work today I'm going back to my dealer's and buy that new USP Tactical he has ($950) and probably order a can for it. `Tis the season, afterall!! ![]() I've wanted one for a long time, and thanks to a little windfall I have the cash on hand to just do it. This will be my first HK product, although I've handled just about everything they have ever made. I'll post pics if I don't change my mind.... |

Way to go Gus!! I really enjoy my USP Tactical. I do not have a suppressor yet, but in the mean time I ordered a Vortex flash hider from CCF. The flash hider protects the threads and it imporves accuracy. Congrats on your first HK, I hope there is more HK products in your future. Like a HK 51 or 53 for example Chris |

LOL! I went back to his shop and he already sold it!! There's another one coming in next week, just in time for Christmas. It already has my name on it. He has an AAC can in stock for it, which would save a bunch of time vs ordering an SWR. Going to have to think it over while I wait for the pistol to get here. And yes, I want an HK51 in the worst way, so long as it has the extra speshul happy switch. I'm also considering a USP 45 compact. I'll wait until I get the Tac and decide on that one. ETA: It just occurred to me that this won't be my first HK - I have an M3 Super 90 but I don't see it much because I keep it in my dad's safe (mine's full). |
I end up shooting my P2000SK more accurately than my USP Full Size (all in .40). Odd, but good. |
No, I don't like the Glock 26/27 for this reason. I have good sized hands, not thick, just long. Something about the dynamics of the Compact in my particular model makes it one accurate sumbitch. Not to say the Fullsize is a slouch, it's all a H&K is touted to be. Keep in mind the Compact is really about a Commander-sized gun, it's not a pocket pistol by any stretch of the imagination. I also shoot S&W 52 & 41 models, both target guns. Could be this Compact is simply extra special on that day by the factory gods? All I know is what it does, and it does it amazingly. |
