Charles Daly 1911 .45 ACP Extractor Issues I have a new Charles Daly .45 ACP 1911 whose extractor does not hold a round as it should in the slide. Actually does not touch the side. I have no FTF or FTE issues, but I want it to be within spec. How much force can I apply to the extractor? I’ve pressed & pressed very hard, but very little movement. Is there a point beyond which I should not go? I don’t want to break it. TIA Roy |
SBG, the FAQ refers to a "diagram below", but there is none. I get the infrequent FTF (2 out of 50 rounds - 185 gr. LSWC). It's not a problem, but the extractor should apply pressure and that should end the problem. Thanks |

Who is SBG? Did you click on How do I tune my extractor? in the FAQ section??? |
Yes. The last sentence says to "see the sketch below." There isn't one. Unless he's talking about the one above. I don't know. I've decided to leave it alone. It works fine except for the once in a while feed jam. Thanks Roy |
