I have a spare G17 frame (I think, could be a 22) that is a second gen. I was hoping to get a G17 or G34 slide for it for a decent price. After checking GT (hate that place) it seems most are close to the 300 mark. Complete G22 trade ins go for 300 so I don't really see the point. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I'd be better off getting a 3rd gen so I can run my light.
Any other places I should be looking? Does LWD ever offer sales on their aftermarket ones? I'm really only interested in 9mm. Or should I just wait out for an .AA kit and have a trainer? |

I've played this game before. It never works out to your advantage. Sell the frame or get an AA .22 kit. Otherwise, you will end up having $500 invested in a $300 mix-master glock.
FWIW, I did buy a complete G21 upper for a G20 frame on GB. With the barrel and one mag, I believe I paid $275. |

Glock factory replaced my slide for $180. Previous owner drilled a big ass extra hole for big front blade, when I removed that I found he also drilled out the original hole. Well, I've had this pistol for 20 years, and wanted to keep it anyway, so its my mixmaster. They also replaced all the internals with new (the only pieces that are 'mine' are the barrel and the grip).
So it depends on how much you have invested in the lower. |
