Lifetime warranty, not to mention my Rock Tactical has 0 malf (other then mag issues...cheapo crap) and is running rock solid.  I wouldnt hesitate to buy another.  The citadel are souped up Tacticals as far as I know.  Personally, I like the wider serrations on them versus the a1 style on my tac.

I was looking to build a budget 'tactical' until I ran across these guns.

They look nice from ones I've handled, but until somebody runs out with a T&E gun they slammed 2k rounds through, just lubing for every 500 I won't say 'reliable' but a decent gun for a range toy for sure with lots of potential to add aftermarket parts for reliability.

It's the same (Armscor) 1911 that used to be imported by Charles Daly.

This is My Citadel Compact 1911 which is basically the same dimensions as a Colt Officers model with 3.5 inch barrel. It comes with a lowered and flared ejection port, extended beaver tail grip safety, skelatized trigger (which I stripped the finish off to get the look in this picture, skelatized combat hammer, Novak style sights (adjustable rear for windage), and two excellent quality 7 round italian made mags (ACT-Mecgar). They tear down great and are just as solid and reliable as my chips and wilson mags. The sights are one color no dots but I found that I shoot them better than my high profile sights on my Springer and M & P in daylight of course! I found the high profile dots on my other guns to be a little busy but these sights could be a problem at night. The Citadel feels and looks excellent and at the range I shoot it the best, after several hundreds of rounds I have made this my carry gun. I really love it because it's a great balance between weight and power. I have dealt with Armscor in Nevada, Arnel and Ivan and I can tell you they are hands down the nicest most helpful folks I have dealt with, even when I was a pain. I can't say enough about this 1911 or Armscor/Rock Island Armory, if you decide to get one you won't be dissapointed! They make a reliable no nonsense 1911 and that's what you want and need when the SHTF.

The ones I've shot, I wasn't impressed. For the same $$, I'd opt for an Auto Ordnance over a Citadel.
