Friendly reminder: clean your magazines occasionally.

Everyone talks about cleaning their carry gun, but (as I recently discovered) a magazine stored in a pocket has a tendency to end up full of lint.

Found your problem.

Use mag holder(s) next time.

I haven't had any lint issues, but I did discover how dirty they can get when you drop them during an IDPA style course.  I cleaned them afterwards, and decided that I will just clean them whenever I clean the gun.  (Any time I shoot)

I work outside and even in mag holders, my mags get pretty dirty. The 1911 mags are probably the worst, I carry 47D's and I think the opening that runs down the sides lets in junk that makes the inside gritty. Never been a problem, my carry gun itself gets a bunch of crap built up in it just from walking so much outside and getting in and out of my work truck 15+ times a day. Nothing a good wipe down can't fix a couple times a week.
