pin oversized bushings The barrel link and pin an easy fix. The bushings may be easy if they arent stripped, just because they back out with screws doesn't mean they are stripped. If they aren't stripped you can loctite them in (blue) then remove screws using a tiny! drop of loctite on threads of frame only. Leave them set overnight and the next day you should be able to remove grip screws with bushings in frame. If they are stripped still no biggie just a simple tap and os bushings and your good to go. What are you going to do with her? Man I wish I could run into a deal on a commercial Commander like that. It's hard to tell from this angle but except for the sights and maybe thumb safety she looks stock. Nice grab can you give us an idea of what you paid for her? ETA: what are all those scratches under grip panel? |
| I had the bushings do the same thing on my 1911, it was an easy fix with new ones from Brownells, the barrel link should not be much of a problem either. It really looks like a nice older Commander, I would be happy with the purchase assuming you did not overpay. |
