I need a quick ballpark vale on this pistol. It's a Satin finnish steel frame pistol. It does have wear on the finnish......Ive been offered this pistol for $400   Thnaks WD

how bad is this wear?

seen them go as low as 500, seen them listed for as high as 1000.

but I agree. at 400, I wouldn't bother selling, unless I really needed the money for something else, and it had some serious finish issue, as they are known for not being very durable.

Unless the finish is worn through to the copper subplating or steel base material, a light bead blast will bring the finish back to near-new.  Thay said, satin nickel is pretty delicate and shows wear quickly.  If the pistol is all-original and shows no rust, $400 is a pretty good price.  Normally they start around $600 and go to $1000 for the really nice examples.I paid $599 for mine.  Keep Hoppes #9 or any copper solvent away from the finish.
