So I recently picked up a used (older model) Colt Defender which does not have novak style sights like the current production model.

After I got it home I realized that the rear sight is completely loose. I can simple push it out with my finger.

So naturally I'm trying to fix this and was hoping that I can simply pick up a new rear sight. Well my first attempt at this was to pick up a new rear sight direct from Colt, which ended up being a novak and does fit the rear sight cut in the slide at all. It's way too big. So I'm not sure what to do at this point...

Here is a picture (not of my actual gun, but you get the idea.)

The front sight is good and solid, so I don't need to replace that, but I do need to come up with something to fix the rear sight. So what do you guys think?

TIA!

Never mind... I used a center punch and dimpled the dovetail a bit and now the rear sight seats in nice and tight. Well at least for now...
