Colt Government Stainless MK4 series 80!   With stag grips!  Guy says he paid 1300 for it!

I think that is a little high!  What would be a good price for a Stainless series 80 Governent Model?

He wants to trade it to me for Marlin model 410 lever shotgun!

way high unless its been customed by a noted smith, not Johns smithing service. even with genuine stag grips thats too much cash for a series 80.

I think he is just Colt crazy,I just bought a  Colt Government series 80 ,extended slide lock and safety, great bevertail job blued for 550 out the door!!!
I think he knows that my Marlin model 410 is worth around 900 in good shape, and just thinks I'm really stupid a far as Colt's go!!

It is indeed like new and I would guess it should go for about 7 or eight!

But I have the only one I have ever seen shotgun, and he has one of many Colt pistols!!!

But I have 850 in this shotgun, and thats what I would have to have in trade!

Do you think 850 would be a fair estimate of this pistol's worth?

I'd put a MkIV ser 80 Stainless Government in LNIB condition at 600-650 less if it shows wear, add a 100 for the stag IF they are crack free and have a concentric  pattern.

swap for the Colt and make him cough up $150 in cash.

Thanks Hobbs SGB COK&LOC,and you know how it is even if you had 300 of these colt pistols when you hold a fine one you just try and justify a way to get it!!!

They only made the Marlin 410 for four years!  And I would kick myself forever trying to find another!!

You guys are great!!!
