Just got a used but like new Colt King Cobra.  Was made in 88 or 89 from what the card board box and paperwork says.

Can I get a hogue grip that would fit that or something like it.  I don't like what came with it.

TIA.

If anyone is interested I can post pics.

Any grip made for an Anaconda will fit the King Cobra.

I know that does not answer your question, but it may help you.

Congrats on the KC. I love mine.

Lord knows I bought a lot of grips for my S&Ws. I finally settled on finger groove rosewood grips. They're a big help in holding down recoil & look real nice. Ajax sells them, among others.

Good luck.

A notch below the Python. Not as slick or smooth, less hand building involved & thus cheaper (affordable). IIRC, all King Cobras are S/S.

Yep, the King Cobra is a step below the Python.  I missed the Python by two days.  I did the heming and hawing and lost that baby.

Thanks for all of the advise everyone.  As always you  guys rock.

Here are a couple of sites that I have found that wave grips that will fit.  I have an Anaconda so I have the same problem replacing the grips.

Not all King Cobras are stainless.  I have a 4" blue.  Incidentally, I have a set of Hogue grips on it.  Don't recall what kind of wood, but they look great and fit my hand like a glove.  The hogues are definately an improvement in that they leave the backstrap uncovered, unlike the rubber Pachmayer-type that came stock on it.  Enjoy the gun.  I have thousands of rounds through mine and it continues to be my favorite wheelgun.

The blued-steel Colt Trooper also uses almost the same frame as the King Cobra, except it doesn't have the full-length lug. The King Cobra is suppose to Colt's answer to the S&W 586/686, and of course the 586/686 was S&W's answer to Colt's Python.

Hey Dave, thanks for the info, I was thinking of the rubber grips for it.  I got a rubber slip on for my XD and tried out rubber grips for my buddies 1911.  I think I would like them better than wood grips.
