I have approximately 100 new Colt 1911 magazines that say ASSY 5508694 MFR8R611 on the base plate. I got them from a friend who inherited them and Id like to sell them at a fair price and get rid of them quickly. I am looking for accurate info on what they are and what they are worth so that I can write and accurate description. Thanks for your help.

When you can buy CMc Wilson and other quality mags for $25-35 I would say you could sell those for $10-20 depending on condition and who is buying.  To sell fast $10 or sell them all together as a lump.  It is really going to depend on buyer.

These are U.S. magazines for the M1911 and M1911A1 and were likely procured sometime in the '70s-early '80s.
The '8Rxxx' is a non-manufacturer cage code. I have some 8R320 magazines that are linked to SARCO. My guess on this is the mags were ordered by SARCO who sold them to the government under the non-manufacturer code. Or, the government never accepted them and SARCO sold them off. I would expect a similar situation with your 8R611s. Typically tend to be good, working 7-round mags, but because it is questionable that they ever were issued by the U.S., value is not high. With the non-manufacturer codes, there is no way to find out who really made them or even if they were made in the USA.

I see these 8r611's at local gun shows, they sell for $10 ea, less in bulk.  They feed round ball just fine.

I have some of those and they like to rapidly unload when the base plate falls off due to poor welding
