Trying to find out more information on this Colt Model 1903, 32 Cal. All of the other Model 1903s have the following inscription on the left side of the slide:
"PATENTED APR. 20.1897. DEC. 22. 1897."
The one I have, as you can see from the pic, has the following:
"BROWNING'S PATENT APRIL 20, 1897"
According to the Colt website serial number finder, this serial number is dated 1903. Is it possible that it has a different inscription because it is a first year run?
By the way, the first two pics do not do this pistol justice. There is no pitting or rusting anywhere on this pistol.
Anyway, any information you can  provide would be appreciated. SORRY ABOUT THE UPSIDE DOWN PICS!
